The big money has so much influence and lobbies to get the lawmakers to always
vote for laws that benefit the mega corporations and give no thought to the
regular folks. The minimum wage here is so bad that in many cases people
can live a better lifestyle going on the dole. Then the federal govt hands out
foodstamps(now it is a card that a needy person just swipes at the checkout)
for a few hundred per month. Then most states have medical plans for the needy.
It is pathetic that things are structured in such a way that lazy sods can live
better than somebody that works 40 hours a week.
Here is a great idea, give all the illegal aliens (mostly Mexicans) more benfits
and lower university tuition than than real citezens. Oh wait they already did that.
The land of plenty has become the land of entitlements and it is sucking the life
out of the long term economic outlook for the states. I love my country, but I
hate what is taking place.
