Beached
Breathing in sand
one grain at a time
avoiding the choking sensation
attempting to survive
chewing glass
having been struck by lightening
It never hits twice
My mouth is dry
unable to speak
saliva soaked up
by beach
salt water burning my tongue
seeping into the cuts
and bleeding into the eyes
forced open by sheer will
to witness the end
my own end
buried by shore
and the waves
closing in
