I try to teach my kids to spend wisely .. I can proudly say I don't own a credit card and the only major debt I have is my boys braces
I can't say I don't blow a bit more money than I should at times or the occasional splurge on an luxury item or something fun . Being frugal is not a bad thing . I work in a big department store so I catch all the good sales
75% off - my discount is usually a great buy and my kids can keep up with their friends without me going broke, at the same time teaching them how to look for a bargain
Seriously , I worry about what we are doing to the planet with all this consumption . Can't be a good thing
