Default Re: Gas prices today?

Not exactly my personal experience...
About 8 years ago, before evil Jed took office, the citizenry of Florida voted a constitutional amendment guaranteeing the development and construction of a bullet train to run from Tallahassee through Orlando to Miami, with spur lines to Tampa and Naples in the SW... one of those that'd make the whole trip in about 3 hours...
Would have made perfect sense in overcoming the huge traffic issues facing us.

We understood it was gonna be very expensive, and taxes would be needed to cover it. We voted yes anyway.

Then about 5 years ago, once Jeb was in the Gov's mansion... he mounted a huge anti-bullet-train initiative. We were flooded with partisan teevee and radio ads about how most Floridians would be taxed but never use it much... never heard a word of support for what was a constitutional amendment at that point ('cause the media were controlled by non-disinterested parties... say gasoline, insurance, carmakers?)
It's the same Bullshit... our owners wanted no real solution to the amount of cars and gas sales.

Anyway, he got a constitutional amendment reversed in the interest of his Daddy's oil baron buds.

Don't mind me... experience has made me paranoid where the Bush family is concerned.
If Jeb ever gets into the white house... I'm emigrating to Scotland.

But it's a plot, man!
