After railing against U.S. global dominance at the United Nations this week, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad declared he was not an anti-Semite Thursday.

Iranian Prime Minister Mahmoud Ahmadinejad speaks at the United Nations on Thursday.
"Jews are respected by everyone, by all human beings," the hard-line president told a news conference at the UN headquarters in New York.
His comments come just months after he claimed the Holocaust was a "myth" and called for Israel to be "wiped off the map."
An exhibition mocking the Holocaust opened in Iran last month.
Speaking through a translator, Ahmadinejad also defended Tehran's nuclear program, saying he was "at a loss" about what more he could do to prove his motives were peaceful.
"The time for nuclear bombs has ended," he said, insisting that his country did not need a nuclear weapon.
Ahmadinejad said talks with the European Union about his country's nuclear program were "on the right path" and he hoped nobody would disrupt them.
"We believe those negotiations are moving on the right path. Hopefully others will not disrupt the work," he told the news conference. "It is a constructive path to take."
Responding to UN Security Council demands, Ahmadinejad said Iran was prepared to negotiate on suspending uranium enrichment "under fair and just conditions" but he gave no time-frame for doing so.
He was also critical of the international political system, saying it consisted of a "group of victors who emerged from a world war and are ruling the world".
