As late as the beggining of the first Great War, the military men of the world were civilized. Officers drank together regardless of whos side they were on...the first pilots waved at each other only short months before mounting weaponry on their air craft

But who says the men have lost all that?

Heard about this a few weeks ago and thought it was very cute. Here's the follow up

Ohhh right, you guys dont have it.

It's like the blue collar Starbucks some people say; but it's open late and there's always someone you know in the nearest chain. It's just a really nice coffee/donut/sandwich place with a ton of selection for a really cheap price, and the best ice cap in the country I think you'd like it being anti-starbucks and all Set up sort of like fast food, but a bit more laid back; geuss it's just a fairly typical donut place, but it's more than that to us Canucks

you obviously don't watch hockey. It's a donut/coffee chain similar to Dunkin' Donuts. I don't think there are many in the US, but there is one in my hometown in Michigan. You're really missing out by not knowing what Tim Horton's is.

You told me that once a loooooooong time ago. Remember now... sounds great. That is the problem here. The local shops are GREAT, but usually close at like 6 or 7... The only thing open after that is StarBucks and one other place right up the road.

I don't watch any Pro-sports at all (except maybe UFC)... So, nope never seen them during a hockey game on TV either.

Ahh give him a break Wigs; I dont think it's the fault of the people when they dont know something (or anything) about Canada....we're just the snotty nosed little brother The media hasnt got much to say about us

Besides, unless you watch plenty of TV you guys have plenty of stores we know nothing about, but love. We dont have Maceys , in fact you guys have far more clothing stores higher and lower end than we see; and unless you've seen the ads you're oblivious until you visit.

You guys get many Canadian only ads down there? We have tons Who the hell goes to Sonics?

Right. But back to Tim Hortons...I think it's absolutly great that they're sending some of the good stuff to the boys risking their balls for us They're being trained as cashiers it said....but I really hope that, with only 2500 soldiers in over there and a defence budget that is like 11th in the world when our army is past 60th in size, they can afford to cut some serious slack on how much we're charging!!!
