Default Dead pixle?

There's a VERY tiny, blue dot on my screen (no I cant wipe it off)

Cant see it in light colors, but it's noticeable when there are dark colors behind it (like ASep's background

I have a ViewSonic 19" flat panel monitor, and it was a gift so I dono anything about the warrenty. Had it for about 18 months though.

How screwed am I? Really not a big deal... could be a month old, but now that I see it, I'll just keep noticing it

Depends what the warranty is GF. It does happen an it can't be repaired as its inherent.. I got 2 on mine but and i've had the monitor for over 18 months also (1 year warranty). Some manufacturers have 3-5 years so its worth checking.

I tend to forget about the pixels when I'm surfing. I suppose if you're a gamer it might cause concern.

That is what Viagra is for.

GF, If the warranty does not work(I think Viewsonic is a 3 year) there are some fixes that do work. Viewsonic requires 2-4 pixels to be stuck for a replacement.
I have fixed a monitor using the software link in the page I have posted below.

every screen, monitor, plasma, lcd has a GET OUT clause. A dead pixel here and there is NOT covered in the warranty (Over here anyways). 18 months is well late too but had it been new id at least have TRIED to get another out of em. Sorry mate (shrugs)
