My not-so-bright neighbor next door was dicking around with his computer settings

He right clicked, went to Properties, clicked Settings, hit Advanced, moved down to DPI settings and changed them from 125% to 75%

Now all text on his comp is nearly invisible and the computer is frozen as fuck Even got a blue screen of death or two.

Now I'm supposed to be looking for a fix for him laptop, but really I'm just laughing

What a wiener

Anyone know a way you restore your settings without being able to touch anything on a computer

Unfortunately you have to touch something on the computer. Have to be careful when mucking about with DPI settings. If toy cant get back into the display Advanced settings then there are some options I can think of at hand.

1. Adjust the monitor dimensions accordingly to allow for the pixel size change. If that works you can go back in to advanced settings to revert to the original DPI settings. If its a laptop you may not be able to do this but you could always plug another monitor in to try and then try the above.??

2. Drastic action may be to change the graphics card and window will automatically pick this up and adjust accordingly?

Radical action is formatting the hard drive and reloading windows again.

Its not something I've come across but I'm sure there must be a way round it. Has he tried Googling it for the geeky forums?

Sorry not to be much help but I just woke up after a really sleepless night.
