Your Claim To Fame

i was in the presidents office working with the RSA secret service after a little terrorist scare. i'm still on the short-list if anything like that happens again.

and inmy home town mossel bay i was in the newspapers twice, once when i was hit by a car at age 12 and earned the nickname john rambo coz i didnt cry at my FUBAR leg and the second time when i went down the main road in a shopping cart doing 70km an hour(it was a steep downhill and lucky for me the traffic cops had a trap at the bottom) after my arrest i was in the paper again(age 13,5) and was then called wayne insane bicicle bayman(after the john rambo tragedy).

its a name i still hear whenever i visit home today(10 years later)

A.) Jimmy Stewart , the (dead American) actor's father and my grandfather were first cousins. What's that make us..?

(Accidental fame?)

B.) I tore the engine off a Pontiac ambulance, right up to the firewall, on my learners' permit.

(Famously stupid?)

C.) I once helped a rookie cop disarm a suicidal drunk armed with a .357... the cop and I kept him talking, I distracted him for a second, the cop grabbed the gun hand and I picked the rest of the li'l vugger up by his throat and slammed him into a building.
Later my buds asked if I wasn't scared of gettin' shot - it never occurred to me. I just was there.

IMO, everything you have done for people is not about fame, they are about doing the best anyone can do for people in any situation.

I work in tv so I've got a few claims..unfortunately they really aren't getting me anywhere.
My funniest is making my small screen debut at 4:30am after working since 11am the previous morning. Let's just say the only people who saw it were working with me....and at 4:30 no one is looking their best.

Snubbsie my cousin works in NYC for Public TV as one of Bill Moyers' producers. Do you work in NYC's market or one of the others.
