18th Birthday

No not mine but I got a good memory.

Today is my dughter Kelly's 18th birthday & I am taking her out for a meal with some of her friends in about an hour so I'll be off soon.
Just thought I'd pre-warn you if I'm not around. Also we'll be having a party for her on Saturday. Obviously that's gonna be a rather hectic day for me too & I may even have
a sore head on Sunday morning.

Gonna make it a day for her to remember with lots of friends & family, disco, a live band etc so it should be a great night for her. I'm also gonna treat her to a laptop this Saturday as she needs one for her college work.

I've already given her quite a bit of money today tp spend as she wishes & it was lovely to see her smile as she went shopping this afternoon.

Needless to say I won't spend all evening with her I'll just be having a quiet meal & then politely leave her with her friends to enjoy the rest of the evening at a late night club or whatever she chooses.

Now don't you wish you were 18 again?

Getting ready as I speak. Taxi coming in 20 minutes so I'll have to get a move on. Better take my wallet to let the moths out.
I'll be pleased to see it all go smoothly & then I can relax a bit on Sunday.

Well my 18th didn't sound as fun as what you're doing for her but quite frankly I'm not much older but old enough to enjoy all the debauchery one can in Vegas, that's SO much better than being 18 here

Well over in litte ol England the big celebrations used to be at the age of 21 but for the last 10 years that I know of its ben lowered to 18. I may have spoilt her a little bit but I did say to her not to expect the same kind of treatment on her 21st.
Mind you saying it & doing it is something else.
