Family First.

Went to see Linda straight from work again and it was great to see her slitting in a chair reading instead of her lying in bed. She is in dire need of a shower though!

It was awful to see her hair in such a mess. Poor woman has only had bed baths.
She will be assessed this afternoon and she is hoping to go into the shower before she leaves. Her catheter has been removed so that's a good sign.

I am off work now for 12 days to look after her. It will be hard to get on my main computer as it is in my bedroom and Linda will only be able to sleep downstairs for 2 weeks whilst I have to sleep upstairs.

Can't risk infections and causing her more pain than she already has. Besides she will be unable to walk up stairs for a few weeks anyway.

6 weeks total rest minimum is the prognosis so hopefully she will be back to normal and fully refreshed relaxed and recharged. That is providing sh does as the doctors says... no bending lifting at all. I will make sure of that.

Right now I have to get the house spotless for when she returns.

I can just see her face now telling me..."You forgot this ....you missed a bit there!" blah blah!

I am run ragged already. Done the washing, breakfast lunch, washed dishes, hoovered up, made the beds washed the car then it rained..

Just about to make dinner now and hopefully sit down and relax for the evening if that's possible.

Got family round tomorrow so I'm hoping to get a bit of time off to go to a computer fair. Got 7 to repair.

Definitely going back to work for a rest.

Update:

Its been 3 weeks now and Linda is recovering very slowly. She is signed on sick leave for minimum of 6 weeks though personally I think she will be of 3 months as she is still extremely tender and weak. Her job involves pushing handicapped children in wheelchairs and escorting them to school via taxi or bus.

Somehow I think that is a long way off. She can barely make a cup of tea for herself. Puts a lot of strain on us all coming from work and trying to keep the family all united etc.

I was actually glad to get back to work last week though I'd love to stay off and look after her but we need the money and it will cost us dearly for us both to be off.

It is nice to get my hand in at cooking again...no-one's been poisoned ....YET!

Off for another couple of days then back to work.

Right now I have to go......SHOPPING! I hate shopping.

Either that or we starve. Saying that I've lost over 8lb's in weight these last couple of weeks.

Not quite the stick insect just a nice comfortable weight. (172lbs)

Must be all this sexercise.

*spits out yukky taste in mouth* I love the smell of Marmite but not the taste. It is way too rich for me. The kids love it on toast and I nearly puke every time I see them eating it.

Well I was going to take her out for a little walk today but the weather has put the block on that again

Seems we're fated for this crappy wet weather. I am still concerned she is very weak.
Time will tell I know but she has no major concerns other than being tired, and very tender. Also she has to be on HRT pills (Hormone Replacement Therapy) for at least six months if not longer.

As I said before....its great being a man.

that good to know things were going better.

i gotta friend whose wife went through that. once things settled she was great. i don't know your family that well bet I'm sure everythings going to be good especaily since she had you for support

Thanks BB it means a lot to hear that. Linda has finally managed to cook a meal today.

I can't wait to say bye bye to bachelor food.

Still early days yet.

I am glad to hear of forward progress. It sounds like she is going to make a full recovery and
be dragging you around shopping very soon. Just in time for the holidays.

We actually did a full shopping today it was manic.

She has gone out to visit some friends right now. Only a hundred yards up the road.
