Trying to decide what to order tomorrow, got a few friends coming over to watch a movie.
What's your favorite food to take out? Pizza... Chinese... Continental (ie Burgers ect. )... Mexican... Some other form of foreign influenced cuisine?
I'd like to know
.
.
Personally... I like Tia food, or Indian food. In Vancouver I usually try a new place every other time we order food at home or with friends; gotta shake it up... but then some people are very happy with their burger joint or pizza place which is cool too
I hit the Chinese button. We have a great place that just puts out quality every time.
They have Cantonese, Schezuan, Dutch Indonesian and the westernized plates.
Lots of fresh veggies, chicken, beef, or shrimp. Not greasy or oily. They are gods of
the wok. They are as good as the 5 star Chinese places I have been to in NYC, San Fran, and Boston
at half the price.
I love all the choices mentioned, but it is hard to find really good Mex or Italian food
without driving 30 mins.
I think I'm turning Japanese, I think I'm turning Japanese, I really think so............
You just may love Vancouver... I've read the American city with the largest % of Chinese people is San Fransisco, with about 19% being Chinese or of Chinese decent. In Vancouver, (the city of, not the burbs of course) Caucasian is hardly the visible majority any more, with over 25% being Chinese (cool random tidbits). So needless to say we have great Chinese food here too.
BUT... none that I have tried come in those cool little fold out, square cardboard boxes Think it just tastes better when it comes out of that little cleche box
Chinese for me then Indian. So many culinary delights from afar yet so near makes my mouth water I could quite easily live off foreign food but you know there is nothing like home cooking, especially mother's.
Chinese for me, I love Mongolian BBQ. There's a great place here in town that is tucked away in some little strip mall next to Target, and I think it's amazing! I had a friend leave and move back to California, and he still can't get it as good as it is here. Oh, and we also just got a Noodle Express. Don't know if it's a national chain or not, but it's not too bad.
Nice
Think pizza is the best take out the next morning, hands down...
See, that's where I get picky...I don't like pizza after the fact. I only like it that day. It could be room temp, no problem, but once reheated it's gross to me.

And there's this one pizza joint that for some reason just tastes better the next day after a few minutes in the toaster oven... makes the crust crispy instead of kinda floppy, and seems to bring out some flaaavor. Then again, I am a bit crazy
