Friday the 13th

It is soon upon us and moving to the west coast.

Our members around the globe are already on that date.

Anybody believe that BS about it being an unlucky day? In my parents religon 13 is a lucky number.

My daughter won an iPod on the last Fri 13th.

I personally am not supertitious at all. Its whatever is our destiny if there is one that is.

Good luck bad luck is all circumstances & consequences.

Funny how some people get so caught up in it and get themselves all worried sick for some impending doom they expect. Panic to the extreme.

That is why I posted it. My wife comes running into the home office yesterday proclaiming the date. I looked at her, blinked and went back to my work. She said so it is no big deal, I said precisely. She said she did not care either she just wanted me to know. Thank you honey for helping me read calenders. I have always had trouble with them

I think you make your own luck when it comes to things like this. It's usually the people that get all worried and agitated about the date that end up having a bad day.

Me... I've always had a good day on Friday the 13th.

Maybe I just look at it more positively than the norm.

So, in celebration...

Oh and Noodles... you said 13 is good luck in your parents' religion? What religion are they?

Huh. Didn't realize 13 was a lucky number in Judaism. Assumed that like Christians, they'd feel it was bad luck. Well, guess ya learn something new every day!

I don't know what I am now. I have not been to a temple in 18 years. My wife is Catholic. I do believe in a greater force and respect it. I just don't feel it should be pidgeon holed.

Never let the date phase me..other than to freak people out by telling them that 13 was my lucky number and that I have good luck on the 13th.
As far as religious significance, I feel it is a misconception that Christian feel it is unlucky. Being a Christian, I cannot see how I could view it as "evil"...after all the 12 disciples plus Christ equals 13.

Yes, DC you should start a religion thread--excellent idea. I have always been fascinated about other religions especially Druidism. And I feel you will discover that there are a wide scope of Christians with very conflicting beliefs
