Holy Shit, I was at Cabelas and a box of 10 .50 cal was $74.95
My dad has a Weatherby .460 and 20 rounds for that is $98. I grabbed a box for him
but in reality it is for me. His vision keeps him off the range so I am the only
one that uses the Weatherby. That sucker has some serious kick. I love the look
on the other shooters faces when that thing fires.
Went to Cheaper than Dirt online and found 150 rounds of .50 in a can for $240 so I ordered that.
I also ordered some goodies for the AR-15 I am buying from a broke buddy. Now
that the ban is lifted I ordered a Beta C mag with the 100 round capacity.
I hope they are not junk. I have a bunch of 40 round AR mags from years ago and a lot of .223 ammo.
I am having a hell of a time finding accessories for the HK-91 .308 cal. If anybody has a line
on some I would be grateful.
I can hardly wait to get to the range.
I think I'm turning Japanese, I think I'm turning Japanese, I really think so............
I have seen some stuff in there. Forest lists high cap magazines but they never ship them.
Thanks for checking, I stopped getting Shotgun News about a year ago.

Don't you mean .223? Man that H&K 91 is a nice firearm.
The HK-91 was a fluke and was the reason I got rid of my first AR-15.
A friend was getting divorced and dumped that HK and a Browning Satori shotgun for $1700 for the pair. I did not have enough to make the deal so I sold another friend the AR and had enough to make rake that amazing deal. I knew I could always find another AR. Coming across an HK-91 is not that easy. I sold the Satori because I already have a couple of wild shotguns.
The first time I fired the HK I knew it was one of the finest .308s ever made.

Good catch, yes it is .223.
I am going to edit it in the thread.

Very True, I have Fire one a couple of times. My Brother in law used to have one and he paid $2,000.00 for it. He is still kicking himself for getting rid of it. Cheaper Than Dirt has something for it.- http://www.cheaperthandirt.com/hk91g3_bicb.htm
Check it out.
Thanks for digging around.
I have been all over the Cheaper Than Dirt site and can't find what I am looking for which are the HK made high cap mags or after market ones which are 30 round mags.
Thanks again for trying to help me with this. I am going to hit the gun show circuit that gets very popular over the winter months and see of I can find the stuff.
Why did your brother in law sell of such an amazing rifle?

Those are all great guns. I still have my stainless Mini 14.
The Benelli speaks for itself. My Italian shotgun is the SPAS Law 12. I love that gun, but never use it due to parts being hard to find at a decent price. So it is in the collector category like the HK.
And you and I already agree that anything Sig is the way to go.

Sigsauer and a couple of others have produced composite semi-auto handguns.
Sig's composite SA is the SigPRO line (of which I have one)
Not mine, but the same model
The 2009 model is 9mm only, the 2340 is .40/.357 - but can convert to 9mm with an aftermarket barrel/chamber. The 2009 shoots real smooth, the 2340's a little flippy with hotter loads. The only real complaint I have on mine is the proprietary acc. rail, which I believe was corrected in the 2022 that replaced it.
Ridiculously cheap for a brand-new Sig, but still shoots like their all-metal cousins. I had originally shopped for a P226, but these were more affordable.
The Glock .40's picked up a lot of bad Page Ranking years ago because of some cases of rounds exploding in the chambers. I don't have a whole lot of experience with them - from what I've read it seems to be a combination of undersupported chambers in the early G22 models and the polygonal rifling being real tempermental with plain lead ball ammo. I don't know, but I assume that later .40s have beefier chambers so there's less of a problem with case bulging.
I personally don't like Glocks much. Not so much because of the goofy triggers, but mainly the grip angle n' such I just don't shoot them very well. I hear that the angles are close to 1911's, so old 45'ers shoot them pretty well.

I Have the Sig 2340 in the 40 Cal. It's Shoots slightly slower than the P226 but it still preforms well and is Accurate- Shooting Empty Spray Cans from 30 yards or more.
Gotta love the Sigs. That is great shooting at close to 100' and the Sigs make it feel right.
Great ergonomics is one reason why I love the Sigs so much.
