finally clicked that ad - the one Noodles told me about. damn....

After reading for over an hour on different sites now I am convinced I was bitten by a yellow sac spider or possibly a hobo. Unlikely a recluse.

Bad asses these things are! And here is the real kicker. I am 99% certain I have farted around with Hobos thinking they were wolf spiders.

I no longer kill animals, even bugs, but I still kill spiders that I can't identify as "safe".

So, anyone else ever bitten by something bad ass??

That was as bad as I got it and that freaked me out. Sac spiders are common here and I have taught my wife and daughter how to identify them and steer clear.

I got bit by a Western Fox snake. Hurt like hell, but the spider bite did a lot more damage.

I don't know about you, but I still have scar from the spider. It happened in my sleep.

Very faded now, but I can find it. Happened at my peak of physical condition though, which I believe helped. The necrosis last nearly six months!!

Holy S**T, mine was about 90 days. Must have been a wimpy one that got me.
I found one sac in the bedframe and bought it with me to the doc. No way to know
if it was the one that got me, but it was the only sac I could find in the room.

I never did find a spider. Happened on the route as far as I can tell... All I know is it took nearly 6 months for this hole in my arm to fill in. Only about the diameter of a dime (or less) but flippin deep and just looked nasty for nearly the whole time. I went to the doctors at around 4 months and they just said, if it isn't spreading they didn't want to mess with it.

Feckin' bugs!!

Now you got me googling all over the place. It appears the worst threat here is
the yellow sac.
We don't have any species of the Hobo/recluse variety yet.

A Hobo killed a women in Idaho.

Yeah. I am positive I have messed with them as a kid!!

I chased a baby rattler around too, not realizing what it was. Told my dad I almost caught a snake. He said where and I flipped over rock and the little guy took off again. My dad just grabbed me by the arm and said, "Those are rattle snakes. Let's get back to the picnic." and that was it!!

That must have freaked the old man out.

We only have rattlers in one section of the state west of here. The only one I saw wild
was out in Colorado. It darted off the hiking trail when we approached it.

All in all very only two species of creepies that are potentially lethal to a healthy person.
Black Widows (rare) and rattlers in a small section of the state.

We got nothing so venomous over here but I got stung by shit load of bees once when I was having an ice cream and my lip was ...well you can imagine. Sore as hell for about a week but nothing like you guys have been through.

I guess us Brits are lucky.

Those copperheads are more toxic than the rattlers
