Default Important Poll:

Please take a moment to make comments on the servers performance. Right now I am with Yahoo! and at first we had some down time. I recieved an email from them some time ago apologizing for the downtime, which really was all that long, but was annoying altogether.

Now, I rarely get errors myself and load times are acceptable. If they are slow it is usually my connection trying to load this very graphic intensive forum.

I am considering switching to Site5, which seems like a very reputable, stable, and quick Server. However, although their rates are comparable to Yahoo!s and everyone elses, they require a two year obligation.

So, what are your views on this?

Thanks,

G.

It's been fine here. Occasionally I get a glitch connecting, but it usually sorts it self out after a few moments.

Only errors I ever get is that occasionally the user info on the left here <- is in a really big box

Well the only problem I've really had is when submiting a post but in all honesty thats only been on a couple of occasions. Frustrating but it seems to be fine lately.

You say Site5 is comparable & reputable? In fairness I'd only advise to move if the current server is giving us cause for concern. A 2 year obligation sounds ok but even though its reputable doesn't mean its 100% reliable, I mean no-one can give those guarantees.

I'd say stay G, we've only been with this one a couple of months & yes we've had a few hiccups ....nothing major & you can get those with any server. See how we fair in the next few months & take it from there.

Yeah... unless Yahoo starts acting up again, I'd say stay there. It's calmed down a bit now, and lately I haven't had any trouble with it.
