Just got some mail from jedi.

Seems that Air Force basic has gotten tougher lately. Perhaps they are finally weeding out some the wussies!

He goes on to mention that there are women there!

He just got promoted to Laundry Room Chief or summat and has qualified as Marksman with the M16A2.

Yay, jedi!!

He says that he misses the site and everyone here. He wants me to pass on that if he promised to write and hasn't he will, but apparently basic training is keeping him pretty darn busy.

The SD for this message is just that I will send all posts made in this thread to jedi in a letter this weekend. So, everyone post here and wish him the best.

oh Jedi, congratulations on your marksman with the M-16. And from what I remember about Basic, they put the fat kids in the laundry room, (that was in June though, so it might be different for winter/spring) good luck with the rest of your training, and you'll be done with it in no time.

Marksman eh? Do they have any jobs for those who qualify really highly on the range or anything? Maybe they'll transfer yah to the Marines, Scout Snipers or somethin

I got curious one day and looked at the USAF web site. Looks like they have some cool sounding job where yah parichute in and rescue flyboys or something, maybe you could do that Specialist Jedi

Ah well, that's awsome bud. Glad to see you're alive and kicking. We miss the hell outa yah here too, Gman fusses alot at night, he misses yah so much :P But we'll be here when yah get back bud

Well done Jedi, for your promotion & marksmanship. Looks like we're gonna have stiff competition in the arcade when you get back.

You know we were kinda getting worried about you as we received no news.

Glad you're ok & everyone here misses the hell outta you.

Good stuff, man. Now why on earth are the training our future FedEX pilots how to shoot guns? Word of caution on the USAF women though. I'm told they like to fly without a parachute so you may either find yourself with your own little squadron, or your joystick may go go limp in your hands from her dirty tail fin.
