Oh No!

I got a dilemma. I'm supposed to be taking the official photos for my mate's wedding in 2 hours. I've just went to clean the reflector plate above the mirror in my SLR camera and its all tarnished now.

It looks like splattered tarmac. This will undoubtedly affect any pics I take.

I've got other SLR cameras but they aint been used in years so the batteries will need replacing and I aint got time to go to shops as I've got to get showered etc and a 30 minute drive to the wedding.

Apart from that I'm more familiar with this camera.

WTF do I do?

I feel awful now and I don't want to spoil their day.

Sadly I aint even got time to read any replies to this so I guess I better move it & when the day is over I'll give you an update.

I wish I'd stayed in bed.

Well I rushed like hell down town to a camera shop for advice and the plate is ok as this is just where the miror reflects the image on to pass to the viewfinder.
What that means is I'll see it every time I look through the viewfinder but it won't show on the pics as the image deflects to another part of the camera.

I can tell you I was soooooo relieved. Drove like a bat outta hell to get back and get shaved/showered & out to the registars office.
I got there with 5 minutes to spare.

Will updat about the wedding later. ( I've only just popped back to get changed.)

Well tonight i'm taking the digital camera.

I can't be arsed to swap lenses over every 5 minutes. Also the fact the beer will be flowing merrily and I don't want any spillages.

One of the Bride's brothers was absolutely steaming drunk & proud of it.

Guess where he was sitting at the reception?....... Yeh right next to me.

He actually boasted about his predicament. His words were: "I've got alcoholic constipation - I can't pass a pub" Nice!

At least tonight I'll be with other friends & just mingling as opposed to sitting at a table.
