Serious Discussion Rules for the Tea House

No matter the issue, the way to remain friends through an argument is to not get personal. Discuss the facts, avoid conjecture and speculation, and never question the other person's motives. Above all, be prepared to agree to disagree. You don't have to come to a consensus to remain friends. Just because you like blue and I like green does not mean we are universally incompatible.

Levity helps as well, provided it's not at a sensitive person's expense...

I was going to post some basics for arguements and serious discussions here on After Seppuku. However, I think Shotgun said as well as anyone could. So I am not even going to add to this except for the official statement:

If you don't like something in any thread, simply leave it! If you think it is threatening, illegal or whatever, then report it.

Now quit being pansies and argue !!

Rules for Posting and Starting Threads in the Tea House

For the most part the Tea House is a place for Serious Discussion. However, anything with a message or meaning and not intended for purI ely amusement purposes may be posted here.

Posting a thread announcing something in your life (fun or serious) is welcome.

Posting a thread about immigration, taxes, or the use of Phosphates in detergents is fine.

Threads designed to discover what kind of clown you are to just jibber-jabber are probably best put in the Underworld.

Threads asking how to get a Grape Juice Stain out or Partition your HDD are great topics for the Technical Forum.

I will amend this as necessary.

Hatamoto will move any inappropriate threads.

Cheers!
