This may not be news to some folks, but it really got my atttention. Not sure I like the possible abuse of this technology.

The line between living organisms and machines has just become a whole lot blurrier. European researchers have developed "neuro-chips" in which living brain cells and silicon circuits are coupled together.

Arnold to appear naked in the middle of the night to start stalking Sara Connor coming soon

Finally got a chance to read this. Really great stuff.

If you are interested in AI at all, I would suggest a book called Solo.

Very fun read, as it is science fiction, but the epilogue discusses where the idea for the book stemmed from. Really great stuff. And if you have seen the movie version, with Mario Van Peebles, well... I am sorry. It really isn't even fair to call the two versions by the same name, so don't let it turn you off from the book.

This seems both as a cool and exciting step for technology, and also a scary one! The fact that such things could be used to treat neurological disorders seems to be a great advancement, but even as much of a sci-fi geek as I am... the thought of living computers kind of scares me.

It kind of creeps me out also.

G-Man, I did read Solo. I suggest others give it a try. The way they try to make
a new and improved Colonel Frak Madden is rivoting IMHO. The movie was not
as good as the book.

My absolute favorite parts of the books are the discussions between Solo and the village Padre.

Those were great dialogues, I can't believe how the time flys. I read it over ten years ago.
