Default Surprise Gift

Well I can tell you it was more than a surprise..I was stunned and left speechless.
I have been so busy I've not even got a chance to try this thing out.

Okay I'll put you out your misery.

Last week I was given my Birthday/Anniversary and possibly Christmas present a wee bit early. I am now the proud owner of a Canon 400D camera (Rebel) with Canon 18-55mm lens.. Also included from other members of family are a new carry/gadget bag and a Sigma 28mm-300 Telephoto/zoom lens and a couple of 4gb memory cards.

It has totally bowled me over in fact I'm blown away. Hopefully I can get to grips with it and have a little play with it soon. Unfortunately I have more pressing needs especially with my wife and family.

This was given early because of all my help and time with all the family. This gift is absolutely awesome. Sometime soon I must sell all my old 35mm SLR's and lenses. worth peanuts now.

I've still got my Fuji S9600 which I will keep as it is a great backup and sturdy camera.

It really does feel like all my birthdays have come at once.

Anyone else got any great surprises lately?

Save up and get the attachable flash, It's takes better low light pictures with it. My wife and I found one at best buy on clearance for our Cannon SLR Digital Camera.

It is an awesome gift you got. Congrats!

That is one kick ass surprise.

Some of your older Canon lenses will work in manual mode and if you have any auto focus
lenses they will work also.

So my old SLR Canon AE-1 lenses will fit this? I am surprised. Never even thought about those old lenses. I am still high in the sky at the moment.

Thanks for that chat we had Noodles it has given me some ideas. e.g. Donate some of my old SLR's to our local school.

It will be a little while yet before I can get the chance to use it and then I will be a novice all over again. Still its something worth waiting for and I will be in a world of my own when that time arrives.

Needless to say the proof will be uploaded.
