Well, I kind of disagree to a point, but seriously, it ain't like they are saying "not at all" like when we had the Prohibition Act on Alcohol here, so....
And, it ain't like they are forbidding you to eat healthy food, or summat, so....
so.... things could be worse is all I can say.

True, but I personally think although its great idea in principal & healthwise, its gonna cripple lots of pubs & clubs nationwide. Maybe in time people wil adjust to the idea.

That is just it. They will. Been passing laws like that for awhile here and sure people bitch and moan for a bit, but then they just deal. Smokers used to be able to smoke in any building here, but years ago they got kicked out of a lot of public establishments. Now they sit/stand outside and do their thing and go back in. No biggy.

Could be a biggy transition to get through the lack of nicotine fix for some but then again it might just be the incentive for a lot of people to give it up altogether. Should have been done a long time ago.

Well yer all right, I agree. Here in my province alone they have banned smoking from all public places for a while now, and the last thing to be banned was bars n clubs.. there was a big stink kicked up fer a while, but then it's no biggy after really.. people have to bare the cold here to smoke, and outside blue lines even at some places like the airport and hospitals. No designated areas or anything. That's it tho. Woohooo big hairy deal. I personally quit smokin about 5 months ago now, and I do feel a tremendous difference with myself all around, so I agree with banning it from public places, as much as I did enjoy it, and still would, only for I know better and keep myself away. I think it would help give some people that push they need, having to bare cold temps, high winds, snow n the like. Summertime aint so bad. Ya know it is sensible to me really to think this is the right direction to head with things. Still love to have a smoke even just thinkin about it again now... but ahhh just about $10 a pack here too fer a decent brand, otherwise yer payin at least $7.50 fer cheap ones... too expensive, not healthy, I dunno, I can't see myself startin again, haha yes I can, but I mean I wont let myself start again, and there's lots of reasons to back me now. Soooo what you think?

Stay with the masterplan mate. When you think about it logically you're paying to kil yourself slowly.
When you put in that perspective you know its absolutely insane.

Well, good for both of you quitting. I agree with Sp00k. Just paying to kill yourself. And even if it doesn't kill you the expense and toll on your health reduced the quality of life for many people.

Sadly its true what they say, no matter how long youve quit for, you're proving yourself each day to stay off them.
The other thing is Ex smokers are the worst complainers. The sense of smell & taste increases tenfold. Nothing worse than smelling it on your clothes in the morning after a night out.

No that's for sure... and its true of most ex-smokers, they can be bad. But smoke 'em if ya got em, dont bother me. To each their own as I always say.
