Used Luxury Car?
So... wondering what everyone thinks is a great choice for a used luxury car. Wanting low miles and only a couple years old - like 2-4 tops. Sedan is preferred, but a coupe would be alright. Kind of steering away from the SUV thing, but AWD would be nice, in case we have another horrific winter...
Thinking things like: C 230 by Mercedes or an Acura TL. Top of the line Suburu Legacies/Outbacks look attractive to me too.

I've considered that, or more likely the Hyundai Sonata, but... I am looking for a little more this time around. I drive too much lately to not have a car I really really enjoy. The Optima looks surprisingly good though, I might add.
Cheers Mate!

Re: Used Luxury Car?
The C 230 is solid as a tank, but the Acura is more reliable. I am looking at a AMG
version of the Benz C called the C43. It will do 183 MPH. Speed limited to 155 in
the US and UK. The C230 (unless it is the Kompressor supercharged model) is a
dog in performance if it is the base 4 cyl model.
The Suburus are turning out to be long term problem cars. Great for 3-4 years and
then lots of stuff to deal with.
A two year old Lexus IS is an awesome car. It will run with a BMW and offer excellent
service and reliability.
It will also hold its value better than almost any car.
Another surprise is the Cadillac CTS. It is actually an Opel (German designed chasis)
and is a really nice driving car.
I would still lean you toward the Lexus IS based on all around things already listed and
they are sweet rides.
The Audi A4s and VW Passats are sister cars and have a great road feel. Not as perfect
in the reliability as a Lexus but incredible road feel.

I love to give you a suggestion but...If I had the money for what ever I wanted it would be a CHEVROLET C1500 LOADED
Based on what I know LEXUS or ACCURA would be my pick

I may have to look into the Lexus. FINE looking car and Toyota is hard to beat. I know nothing at all about them though....

Exactly what Acura did you drive? I am torn between a brand new TSX and a used TL or RL. The RL's are a bit pricey though...

Oooo, did I mention in the Lexus you can get paddle shifters like race cars have?
It will work like an automatic when you want it to. Go to sport mode and you can
go up and down the gears by just tapping the paddles behind the steering wheel.

The TSX has the same stuff, but with a cool extra feature. If you have the cruise set and tap the downshift once, the car downshifts. Then you can accelerate and pass or whatever. As soon the car detects a constant speed for like 15 seconds, it automatically sets the cruise and takes over shifting!!
I wonder about the AMG still....

I Love My 2004 Hyundai Tiburon V-6 GT. The Six Speed Manuel is Awesome and Fast. The required 92 or above octane help to me get about 39-40mph on the highway, when I behave. I have gone 0-60 in less than 5 seconds. The Infinity Sound system is awesome in it.
(I got my cheaper thanks to my co worker rebuilding it after it was rolled over, no bondo, new or perfect condition used parts.) in all I had $8000.00 in it, and it book for $14000.00) The 2.7 172 HP engine runs great and has out ran a couple modified cars (Neon, Focus) I use a Synthetic Blend Motor Oil which helps too. I would suggest test driving one, it might save you $$$$

I think he is looking for a four door because there are a couple of kids in the picture.
I do like the value of the Tiburon. Their styling is very eye catching.

Yep. Melissa loves the look of the Tiburon as do I... however, if I went two-door, which I am not entirely opposed to (although Noodles is exactly right - with two kids a four door would be better) I would just drop the whole wad and purchase a brand new Accord Coupe V6. I LOVE that car!!!
