Dance Vacation destinations....

As I sit here waiting for winter to get over with, I am attempting to make reservations for this year's family vacation. Tax returns will be here soon, so why not spend them! I was curious to find out where you all were planning to go. The Tokogawa family is heading for 5-6 days at Myrtle Beach, SC and 3 days in the Smoky Mountains. I CAN"T WAIT!!!!!!!!!

Don't think I will be going on holiday this year as I just can't afford it unless I find a better paid job or win the lottery.
However if I had the chance I like to go back to Lanzarote or a tour of the U.S. I hate this time of year too especially as its just past Christmas.

You are coming to my neck of the woods, both are great choices. If you have never been to the Carolinas I can give you some ideas. I live right in the middle between the two places,3hrs to the top of the mountain or 3hrs till im standing on the beach.

I've got four exams over a period of three days, as well as some research papers the week of Feb 10th aaand the week after that is our Spring Break (different from the American one) so after Hell Week I'm going to Playa del Carmen in Mexico for the break to relax and do some sight seeing. Probably end up having to do some work down there but whatever.

wisecat,

We came down to Myrtle for the first time last summer. We loved it, even though it was crazy hot. We go to the Smokies almost every year. What is Northern Myrtle like? We didn't get farther north than Broadway on the Beach.

thats where I like to stay, its still pretty crowed in the summer but not as bad as Myrtle. We stay around Cherry Grove its old school myrtle beach alot of homes you can rent and the beach is alot less crowed.I feel like my kids can wander around without to much fear because its not commercialized.

Thanks wisecat. Do you know much about Charlotte, NC? We talking about maybe driving to Charlotte, bunking the night and coming to MB the next day.

wisecat,

Any suggestions for kid-friendly entertainment in Charlotte? We'll probably only be there one night, maybe two if it's worth the stay.
