What a Surprise

I got a phone call at work today at 4.30pm from my wife. Some good time ago she filled out a survey in a competition and completely forgot all about it. Well to cut the story short she has won a holiday for the family in Tenerife.

Still hasn't sunk in yet!.

My head is in a whirl. She is going to get all the details tomorrow and fill me in. I would presume there is a time limit so we need to get this sorted to get things organised.

Somebody slap me and wake me up please. I really must be dreaming.

I agree with G. This is a reward earned for all of the hell unemployment was.

On this holiday you can relax knowing you have a job and hopefully the weather will be much better than the last holiday.

Tenerife is a beautiful island.

I've just got in from work (9pm) and my wife tells ,e we have to go and see someone next Monday to finalise things.

As for Tenerife I know the weather will be very hot indeed as its one of the Canary Islands and I've been to one of the other islands (Lanzarote) and that was in the month of November. It was blistering hot.

So I guess i'll be a bit of a pink lobster when I get back.

More details to follow as soon as I find out.

Apparently the dates are fixed and we've only got about 6-7 weeks before the flight.

We're going to Playa De Las Americas in Tenerife at Aparthotel Cloumbus.

Just clarify things a bit my wife won the holiday which includes flights and hotel only. Food and drink is not part of the package. We are not complaining as we've never had this kind luck before. We are literally pinching ourselves to see if we are dreaming.
