Okay... now with the discussion.

The greatest 'thing' is IMO that the movie was told like it would have been really told.

It is like the film makers simply took the expected exaggeration and "painted" us a visual. Like the boats sinking...

And the portrayal of Xerces I ! WOW!!! How awesome was he portrayed?!?!

it's the art skill s of lynn Varley and the art/writing skills of frank miller. Zack Snyder did an incrideble job into making miller's novel into a moive. easily in the same cailber as rodriguez with Sin City

I say it's generally an all out "guy movie" with boobs blood and honor. but everyone is loving this movie and whats not to love it visually awesome and it's message is something we like to belive in . the fact that the few will die for their freedom is wht it's all about

If they bring out an extended edition DVD only in the USA like with Sin City I know what version I'm buying.

The film was so close to the graphic novel it was great, and even the extra parts back at Sparta worked as otherwise it would've gotten OTT if there were no breaks between the fights.

Even though I've seen it twice it's a film I may have to watch again, just to pick up on parts I missed

Over The Top = OTT

If it hadn't had the breaks all the action would've fizzled away with one fight going into another, and another and another.... My favourite has to be Astinos fighting along side Stelios.... They racked up one hell of a body count
