Default Greatest Movie scene!

I watched Crash....again!

It's such a great movie I thought, and if you havn't seen it, you probaby should check it out

(If you havnt seen it, this is a bit of a spoiler)
But the scene that gets me everytime is where the Iranian?(middle eastern) old man pulls the gun on the locksmith and shoots, just as the daughter jumps in the way. Even knowing it's a happy ending, I dont even bother to stop myself from having a bit of a boo-hoo at that one...and again when the old man tells his own daughter he's found his angel. Brilliant

First - thoughts on that one; and later on let's share our fav. movie scenes

Completely agree. Saw that film at the cinema before all the oscar comotion (I like beating the bandwaggon ). I am someone who never cries in films, but I have to admit that when that scene happens I feel myself welling up (even at fifth or sixth viewing). But of coarse the genius of that scene doesn't come from that scene in itself, but the setup scene earlier in the film when the locksmith is trying to help his daughter sleep. Without that I'm not sure the scene would be so powerful.

I agree. I thought Matt Dillon especially was good.

Ok

best movie scene to me (sorry to be a bore)

Jules at the beginning of Pulp Fiction when he shoots the guy on the couch then of course after some hilarious banter recites THAT dialogue.

AWESOME

Rhiannon will become famous soon enough.

for me has to be the end of "Gone With the Wind"
Rhett is leaving and Scarlett asks "But Rhett, you can't leave...where shall I go, what shall I do?"
Rhett replies his famous line "Frankly my dear, I don't give a damn"
But the next part is always overlooked because of Rhetts famous line.
Scarlett shuts the door and turns crying and throws herself on the steps
"I can't think about that now, I'll go crazy if I do...I'll think about it tomorrow"
As she crys voices of the past start to play softly as if going through her mind
Ashley, her pa, and Rhett all reminding her that Tara (her plantation) is her strength---over and over they say it Tara, Tara, Tara
Scarlett lifts her head and instead of defeat, you see hope and determination and inspiration
"Tara---I'll go home and there I'll find someway to get him back--After all tomorrow is another day"
Followed by the sweeping theme song..
That is what the movie is all about--southern gumption and determination, that no matter what the odds some people have the metal to make it through.
Thank you NM

The scene in Gladiator when Maximus is dieing and giving his final orders before he dies and is carried out is one I found to be by far the most powerful of the movie, get a lump in my throat there every time too.

Leon - The ending is so powerful as, how should I put this, you're cheering for a person who in all other sense is a really bad guy (hitman killing for money) but with a sensitive side (taking in a orphan and protecting her)

Leon's final scene with Gary Oldman always sticks in my mind, especially with Oldmans character (Norman Stansfield) literally loosing it a few minutes previously as in this quote:

Norman Stansfield: Bring me everyone.
Benny: What do you mean "everyone"?
Norman Stansfield: EVERYONE!!!!

For those who've seen the film you'll know what happened, but for those who don't, rent the film or buy it before reading the spoiler below.

Spoiler
