In the book the night seekers are portrayed as being intelligent, so I lean towards the seeker having set the trap. And as already pointed out, there is a main seeker... the one who shows empathy for the seeker trapped and stolen by Neville, and he appears again and again throughout the movie. At the end, he is the one breaking the glass. If you pay attention, you will notice that he does look different from the others. He's also the one they zoom in on facial features for throughout.

I think that it is feasible that the seekers, this lead one in particular, could have learned how to make Neville's trap after seeing it, and most likely inspecting it after dark. And as far as them placing the mannequin... if they watched Neville and saw him interacting with it, that seems easy enough for them to move it elsewhere to catch his attention for the trap they set for him. Then it is just a matter of waiting until dark.

As for Anna and Ethan... I hadn't thought about them getting in and out of the island, but that doesn't quite make sense either, as all that was cut off. The SUV I can understand, as they are survivors and so probably have figured out how to keep the seekers from getting to them by now.

The fucked up infected set the trap (at night) and they coudnt bag him cos it was daylight!

i've avoided the thread till i could see it and now i've seen it.

obviously the infected set the trap. nevvile said they were animalistic but it was just a form of denial becasue if he fully accepted them being civilized than why not try to infect himself and join the group. the infected probably would return to civil type creatures as evolution suggest.

the "leader" may or may not have been a leader, but he just wanted one thing the female which was perhapse a selceted mate form pre or post infection. or if anything at least some form of fellow clan member like a pack of wolves. three years is plenty of time for stuff like this to happen

there's more than one way to get a vechile over a river like a vechile or by air or who's to say the vechile wasn't there already.

the oniy thing me and my dad weren't sure about was the deer. i don't know NYC well so i don't know what kind of zoos would be there adn if they have deer other wise it makes sense.

I watched the alternative cut a week ago

I dont want to spoil the ending but it makes it quite clear that the "NIGHTSEEKERS" do in fact have intelligence AND still have some human in them (Or at least some do). Also the suv is seen going over an unblown bridge at the end :s (Anyone confirm how many bridges there should be to the island??)

I still dont like it when his poor dog ends up dying

I think there are 7 bridges/tunnels.

As far as wildlife goes I know there are deer in Central Park. I have seen them.
