Im a MASSIVE Buffy and Angel fan but because Firefly only lasted the one season i never bothered watching it

Nope ~ it was made mid 80s

About a group of rebelious teens in small town America

One of their group gets a job at a VERY weird warehouse place complete with frozen bodies and split dogs (!) and accidentaly lets some chemical substance escape into the air

cue ~ ZOMBI HEAVEN (And awesome soundtrack)

Ah. I have the series on DVD. You would have appreciated the movie so much more if you had watched it!! And plus... I don't think I've heard of anyone who's watched the whole series and hasn't been hooked!

It got cancelled in its first season because it was on Fox, and the people running that particular station are nitwits. They said it cost them too much per episode to produce in regards to the fanbase... they'd much rather spend that money on other shows that they viewed as more successful.

One of those things that if they would have let the show run for just a little longer, they would have decided not to cancel it. There's a lot of shows that were far less successful that they kept on the air!

I'd never even heard of firefly till serenity came out... (and I'm a big buffy fan so I'd of thought I'd of heard of it)

Well, the show only got to it's 11th episode aired when it was cancelled. They produced 14 in total. It's all messed up how Fox did everything, though... They aired the show all out of order (they went 2, 3, 6, 7, 8, 4, 5, 9, 10, 14, 1... skipping 11, 12, and 13 altogether).

Given all the screw ups and everything... I'm not surprised it didn't make it across the pond. It is well worth buying the DVD set, though.
