Thoughtful Who is....

Your favorite actor/actress? and why? I would say Mel Gibson or Sean Connery. They have both play such a diversified group of characters, plus the genre of movies that tend to do are my favorite. i.e. action, historical, fantasy(mad max anyone?)

I have more or less the same tastes in films as you. My all time favourite film is Braveheart, followed by Rob Roy (Liam Neeson). I like most martial art films from Bruce lee Jackie Chan etc and any historical true story always enthralls me.

The thing is its hard to pinpoint a favourite actor or actress there are so many good ones out there.

Leonardo DiCaprio is kind of amazing to me... he's still fairly young but the big names who he runs with are unreal. He's not going anywhere, and I love his films. He's got a lot of range too, few in Hollywood have gone from severely handicapped (What's Eating Gilbert Grape), to a horribly torn undercover cop with serious issues of his own (The Departed), and complex roles that require copious amounts of study almost to the point of driving himself mad (The Aviator). It's rare you see his maturity in Hollywood too. After Titanic, he kind of disappeared for a while because he didnt want to be type cast, and didnt want to be the biggest thing in the world, and then go simmering out like a roman candle.

I love Tom Hanks, Eric Bana and some other big names in Hollywood. I like a bunch of non-A list actors too though, indi films are a lot of fun to try and discover. Blockbusters dont always do it for me. Henry Fonda's films are always good times.

In terms of female actors, Judi Dench is a fox Scarlette is great, and there are some other lesse knowns like Imogen Poots.

like two years ago if you said this i would have to laugh at you.

for me it's a toss up between a couple people. but i'ld probably say bruce willis. I like pretty much all his movies ( that iv'e seen) and he seem like a cool guy. and even though he can be a bit strange i'ld say for his movies tom cruise. as for old school either jack nicholson, tommy lee jones and burt renolds.

I have to add the ones BB just mentioned to my all time list. Love them all.
Even enjoyed Die Hard 4 as old as the series of movies is and as old as Bruce is.
Then you see him in a role like Alpha Dog and he is impressive.

I also have to give props to Billy Bob Thornton and Dennis Hopper.
