Yeah... I knew you were a bit older than me... since I knew Wise was a bit older. I'm twenty.
And as far as McCaffrey's stuff... Pern is great, but I actually prefer some of her other books.. such as those involving the Talents and also the Crystal Singers and The Ship Who Sang. Liked the Acorna books too.
And with Lackey... the Vows and Honor trilogy (
Oathblood,
Oathbreakers, and
The Oathbound) is actually my favorite of hers. But then, I rather like all of her books, so...
My first real delve into fantasy novels was the Dragonlance series, and I have a few still, but I haven't picked them up in ages.
Let's see about a more recent author... have you heard of Elizabeth Kerner? She's only written three books so far (a trilogy), but they are wonderful. I still think her first one,
Song in the Silence, is my favorite. In fact, it's pretty much my favorite book ever. The other two novels of the trilogy are called
The Lesser Kindred and
Redeeming the Lost.
Oh and on fixing the post... no worries... `tis my job to help out like that!

And if you need any help with any of that, or just navigating around, feel free to ask me.
