Assassin's Creed for the PS3
in my opinion the Ps3 will be the top next gen consul. but there haven't been any new games genres anouced till i read the article on Ubisofts "Assasin's Creed" in this months game informer I have to say this game looks very promising. It would be one of the first truely open world games, but it would have a purpose unlike the poinless "open worlds" of gta dare i say better than halo3 even, yeah i dare
especially once i watched the trailer to this
offical page with trailer

If the rest of us can maintain jobs and be avid gamers....so can you.
BTW, Assassin's Creed was one of my favorites too.

Re: Assassin's Creed for the PS3
I bought Assassin's Creed the other day, and it is quite fun, but I'm not sure it's any better than what the 360 can do. I keep buying games for my PS3 hoping to find one that makes me not regret buying the system in the first place. Most games released recently are for PS3 AND Xbox360 and even Wii sometimes too, so there isn't very much in terms of being exclusive to each system...Luckily I managed to afford all 3 systems, so I'm never without on any releases, but I can't seem to find one that the PS3 outperforms the 360 on. But yeah, back to the original topic, Assassin's Creed is pretty sweet (minus the looong load times, and even longer dialogue screens that you can't skip)

Hmm... Looks pretty good. Gunna hafta try it out on the 360 before I buy it though. The ads make it look unreal, but like I was saying to some friends when the ad came on it doesnt speak a word for the actual game-play... Im kinda confused as to how the game actually plays at all.

Yeah... only game I want to buy the PS3 for is Lair... I'd be happy as hell if they'd actually release it on 360 or something else instead, but from what I've seen, nothing else can handle it.

Re: Assassin's Creed for the PS3
haven't heard much good about Lair on the PS3. The Sixaxis makes it nearly impossible to control, and you have no option to turn it off and use the joysticks. Since it's been released I haven't heard anything good, other than it's a beautiful game to look at, but nearly impossible to play

That is beyond disappointing. I actually haven't looked at anything since it's been released, just while it was under development still. It looked absolutely amazing, and from what was being said then, it used every bit of the technology put into the PS3 to make it not only look amazing, but also to be as real as possible... use of the physics engine, etc. I am let down a bit that the game is apparently not quite living up to the expectations. I honestly would have bought the PS3 just to play that game, if I could afford it.
