It's still a $500 console Rik. I mean, damn. The games over at IGN look great, but for now I'll have to stick with my PS2. There won't really be enough quality games, that use the system's entire power for at least 2 more years. By that time the price should come down quite a bit.

Yes, I'm excited, but I can wait...

I am amazed at the latest in consoles. I have not had a vid game since the 8 bit Nintendo console. Actually it is in a box somewhere here. Someday I will jump back in, but right now the price of admission is just too much for me also.

If you're really patient, you can wait a couple years and get both for the price of one now

I think I'll wait 'till one or the other takes a definative victory in the competition for best games and most users.

For a $600 ps3 you get 40 more gigs than the 360. Ps3 as of now has free online play. ps3 controlers are better than the 360 with motion sensors. no current MGS titles will be going to any othe system

Ok guys. Here we go again. The XBox 360 DOES play games in HD. It's unrelated to using DVDs or CDs or BluRay or anything. All BluRay gives you is more storage capacity. It's not a necessity for games to be in HD.

PS3 has been promised to have an online service, HOWEVER they have left the door open for each game to have their own for-fee service (i.e. Final Fantasy XI).

I really hope they live up to the hype. I really do. I'm just not drinking the Kool Aid yet.

As for Halo - I will give Bungie credit for one thing. Their method of matching you against other players online was pretty well executed. It's a shame no one else has figured out how you can carry your team with you as you go from game to game.

But no, we hardly play Halo2 anymore. It's all Ghost Recon and Call of Duty 2.

Which Ghost Recon btw? The bro has the original, Island Thunder and GR2 I believe

alo3 looks promising i'll admit. apparently the trailer to halo 3 is an actual map. but the 360 still lacks in other games especially in the jappanese market

I dunno. I play on my computer monitor at 720p, my buddy's got it on his big screen tv on 1080.

This is one of my big beefs with MS, actually. They made a stab at it by porting Final Fantasy XI... but it was a baad port. Shame.
