He was a brutal man. Brilliant in many ways, but he ranks down almost as badly in the same cesspool of brutality and crimes against humanity as Hitler. IMO

Which is one reason I get on people when then single Hitler out - he is proof positive of the power of the press.

Stalin murdered twice as many people as Hitler and literally made people dig bullets out their loved ones so his soldiers could resuse them...

I am not going on just the body count. Some of the things that went on at the camps were far worse than digging bullets out of loved ones.
Stalin may actually have killed 4 times as many as Hitler.
Having had a family member survive the camps may not let be very objective about this based on the stories my great uncle told me. It is the stuff night terrors are made of. Loved ones were forced to pick which ones got killed. Some were forced to kill their own loved ones.
