Going the whole 9 yards
to the goal line.
How often do we not make it to our goal, but we almost do? Almost is not worth much in my book and usually the difference between success and almost is nothing more than effort over laziness.
Study after study has shown that a little commitment, as simple as writing it down can put us over the motivational top.
Another thing that most people don't consider is the little things. Imagine if you accomplished only one thing each day. That would still mean getting 365 things done this year!!! Pretty good I'd say!
So, I was thinking about what I need to do after work today getting myself to do it.
I thought what the hell I'll post it.
Then I thought, it would make a good thread as we can come back and give our statements of success or failure or share why we are doing things.
So... post your goals for today.

Re: Going the whole 9 yards
I'll start:
1) I need to drag my lazy butt to the tanning salon. Got minutes I am not using and this pale tone is not impressing anyone, least of all me. I have only not stopped by out of laziness.
2) Need to break out the kickboxing gear and work out a bit today. Again, not wanting to start over and get started has been my main reason (admittedly or not) for not doing this. Tonight I will put a few minutes in on the bag.
3) I need to make a phone call I've been putting off. Not going to share why/who/what, but it is important I think.
Okay... Your guys' turn...

Goals for today...
1) Actually eat dinner (may not seem like one to most of you, but trust me, I usually don't, and I hardly eat during the day either, so I really need to!)
2) Catch up on the math homework I've been neglecting
3) Get to bed before midnight

Re: Going the whole 9 yards
I only have one goal and that is to clear the backlog of jobs I have. Its an ongoing thing which seems to never end. I can do 3 today and get another 10 come in tomorrow. ...2 steps forward 5 steps back.
1. Need to ring my sister & brother.
2. Fix my step-sons bike
3. Take the wife to visit her ex father in law in hospital. (hoping he'll be out by the weekend)
One thing at a time eh?

I'm going to hold back my comments for the tanning thing.
