Have a blast in Jamaica mon.

Had a decent day. The heat was intense so I worked on stuff inside and got a lot of paperwork done.
The best part was getting a call from the vet that one of our best barn cats just had a mild bladder infection. We got him back at the farm today. He is one of the coolest and toughest cats I have had the blessing of sharing life with.

My day hasn't really started yet (not quite 6am) Been awake since 4.30 am. This God damn heatwave keeping me awake unable to sleep on the bed.

Going to computer fair later to pick up a bargain

About time I invested in some serious technology as mine is 4 years old now & real slow by todays standards. Still fast enough to do everything I want but I need that extra "oomph"

I was wondering why you were up so early.

Last weekend I watched the F1 race from Silverstone and it was in the mid 80Ã‚.º degree range for the race weekend. That amazed me having lived in Surrey and St. John's Wood for almost 4 years from 1978-82 and I think I saw less than a dozen 80Ã‚.º+ days (but I would spend two months every summer back in the US).
Obviously from your post it is still way above average temp. How hot is it?

Not as hot as last week its gonna be 28C here today. The hottest we've had so far was 32C lastt week. Jeez I got frazzled yesterday at the wedding. Felt like I'd been in nuked in the microwave.

Wow, that is toasty. Pushing 90º and now down to a chilly 83º brrrrr.

Tha is freaky weather. It must be strange. Here we get crazy cold winters and it is not uncommon to see almost 100º in the summer. So we have a wicked furnace and central air conditioning like so many others in the upper midwest. Having lived in your wonderful country I know that the range of temps thru the course of a year is not nearly as wide, but it is still freaking me out that it has been too hot sleep in England.

Its so hot in the evening I've been lying on top of the bed but the humidity is overpowering. Its only sheer exhaustion that helps knock me out for a few hours.

Ughh, the humidity is the worst and we both know how humid it can get there.

We have the same problem here. 80º can feel like 100º when the dew points get above 70º which is about 90%+ humidity. I am hoping things cool off soon for you.
