It was raining in buckets and the camera was in the truck so I just stayed under eaves and watched it.
Nature is an amazing force. I could not even imagine being in a 8.9. I was in a 6.2 near San Diego in the 80s and that was enough for me.

That must have been more than a trip.
That was horrible to watch. I was working at a motorcycle dealer in 89. We had a TV in back and the whole staff was watching the destruction. The owner was from Sonoma and was just totally freaked out.

It was a riot for me, as I was in Monterey which is basically a big giant rock. The only damage was the main generator of Pacific Gas and Electric in our area. No power for two days!! Rampant partying by my fellow soldiers!!
the weather's beautiful here in the one place in Canada with a climate people wana live in (although that's to blame for the cost of housing), in everyone's (or maybe just my) favorite city in the world, Vancouver
