Okay I just found out a guy I know has a girlfriend that won't eat pizza without ranch style salad dressing on it. I almost puked at the thought of it.

So who else likes peculiar combos? My only food thing is that I like A-1 sauce on white rice and sometimes mashed potatos.

And puhhhleeeze no Marmite stories, I am still in therapy from trying it.

I think I'm turning Japanese, I think I'm turning Japanese, I really think so............

My g/f puts ranch on her pizza. She will eat pizza without it, but not if it is available.

This must be a new a trend or I live a cave. I asked a couple of other local friends
and they said they have seen or know lots of people that do it. I just never knew
new about it. I might have to give it a try when I buzz up to GFs shop.

Doesn't appeal to me... Nothing like adding Fat to one of the most fattening foods in existence!

That is what amazes me about the combination. It just seems too rich.

I know people that eat pizza with french salad dressing too ... My son likes ranch dressing on just about any kind of hamburger helper .. in his defense hamburger helper needs all the help it can get ... my daughter likes peanut butter and pickles on crackers .. definitely odd .. Is it odd that I put sour cream in chili ? On the rare occasion that I eat hamburger helper I add sour cream and sometimes salsa

I used to eat Ego Waffles with ketchup

My friend is lactose intolerance so he eats cereal with apple juice

I hear this one isnt that bad; but I think salsa and eggs like my cousin likes at Sunday breakfast was the worst thing going
(the whole family on my dad's side used to go to Grandma's house for Sunday breakfast after church when we were little, we moved to Vancouver from the town they live in....14,15 people perfecting Sunday breakfast and you were bound to see some odd things )

Someone told me this was odd, but I think a great snack is a whole wheat bagle, some light cream cheese and some tomatoe or cucumber is damned fine

Learned one that sounds odd when I was working in a bistro: I hope you Americans can get your hands on Montreal Steak seasoning (goes on everything really, not sauce, it's a course seasoning). Ok, well granted you can find some, put it in your coffee grinder and put a bit on french fries (to clean a coffee blender just blend white bread in it). Trust me, it's amazing, not wierd

There's a restaurant in San Diego called the Corvette Diner. Serves mainly burgers n' stuff in a 50's motif. One of their burgers is called um... a Dion? Corky?? Anyway. It's a burger with PEANUT BUTTER. Went there with a buncha friend before our wedding and on a lark we decided we all had to try it.

It was surprisingly good.

Now fast forward to home. One of our usual pub hangouts where we know the owners and the staff pretty well, I decide to order one of their heart-stopper burgers but with peanut butter on the side. After a while it started to become infamous in the kitchen. "OH CHRIST, IS THAT GUY BACK AGAIN????"

That is a riot. I never even thought of peanut butter on a burger. I just knew we
would get some interesting combinations like this one and GF's Ketchup with waffles.

My impression anyway, is that you don't really get much of a peanut taste. It mostly has the effect of extra salt, which sorta amplifies the taste of the burger. (plus sastisfying primitive cravings for salt, Ook Ook Ook)

I have to agree. About ten years ago I started a love affair with Thai Food.
They put peanuts into variations of food that seem just wrong, but oh my on the
taste buds are heaven.

I can just see the look on our local eatery waitress's face when I ask for some peanut butter on the side.

I have worked as a hot dog cart vendor. Oh lord the stuff people put on their dogs.

Most of the really creepy stuff they bring with them. Pickled herring, pork rhinds,
grape jelly, and yes even caviar on a dog. Salsa and mustard was actually not
that unusual to see at the cart I worked on.
