Huh...I thought salsa was a strange one

When I worked in a restaurant that was both a Bistro (casual dinning kinda thing) and an award winning fine dinning restaurant, there were some damned odd things that got going

Foreigners always tried to order hamburgers like steak 'rare' 'medium rare'....that's how you kill someone with ground beef It's against the law to cook burgers anything other than...cooked

Anyways, one time there was a very intence server who came into the kitchen from the fine dinning restaurant and flipped out because someone just asked for ketchup for a 90$ steak

It is yummy as a dressing. Kind of like a creamy Italian or Caesar like GF said.

I have worked as a hot dog cart vendor. Oh lord the stuff people put on their dogs.

Most of the really creepy stuff they bring with them. Pickled herring, pork rhinds,
grape jelly, and yes even caviar on a dog. Salsa and mustard was actually not
that unusual to see at the cart I worked on.

Oh god, Pork Rinds. How can anyone at that stuff? The first time "King of the Hill" aired, a bunch of buddies and I tried to have a "Redneck Night" in celebration. BBQ ribs, Bud Light, and pork rinds.

I don't think I have fully recovered from that night, even though it's been almost 10 years.

Hmm, well... Nightmare isn't alone with the cream cheese thing. I put it in chili and tortilla soup, and will also eat it with just about any kind of crackers too (Ritz are the best, though, or townhouse). I also sometimes eat plain Lay's rippled potato chips with Nutella.

Hrm... other oddities... my aunt puts mayonaise into her pinto beans, and always eats her scrambled eggs with ketchup.

You know I have never even smelled them. I was aware of what they were since I can
remember and I have to say the thought of fried pigskin never appealed to me.
I was looking in a bag once and I saw where they missed some of the pig hair
during processing.(at least I think it was just pig hair).

Anyway, kudos for having the guts to try them. I will heed your review of how nasty they are.

Meh... it's actually pretty good. The chocolate-y sweetness with the saltiness of the chips... My grandmother melts chocolate chips and eats it on popcorn.. think that's where I got the idea from, actually...

Actually, as long as you don't think about what they are, pork rinds really aren't that bad! Haven't eaten them since I was a kid, though.

Now that you mention it, when my sweet tooth acts up one of my favs
comes from a local confectioner. (Not Willy Wonka) They use salted
pecans or cashews for a nut, caramel and chocolate cluster. I do prefer
them to the non-salted ones from other candy makers.
Maybe the Lay's and Nutella thing are not so freaky. Nutella is not easy
to find around here.

You stateside, Noodles? If so, you should be able to find it at any major grocery store. They just hide it, lol. Look in the section where they have peanut butter, apple butter, etc. You should be able to find a few jars of it no problem.

We are way out in the countryside of Wisconsin. But I have located a store that
has it about 20 miles south. I use to enjoy it a lot when I lived in Weybridge, Surrey.
