Hahaha. Okay, parmesean broccoli with slivered almonds it is
HAHA good luck with THAT! In 13 years I have never once seen a green vegetable cross Wise's lips... The only vegetables he'll eat are potatoes. Try being the cook in our house.

Wise gave me a warning about your concocktions--actually I don't think they sound bad at all. (This from the women who takes Armor chili with bean, mixed with yellow American mustard and ketchup and eats it with saltines, or fried hot dogs--no bun)

Try this:
Regular loaf of Velvetta--cubed
can of Rotell hot chilis and tomatoes (they come in varing degrees of hotness--you choose)

mix together in a microwave safe bowl
Nuke til creamy
serve with tortilla chips.

Mmmmm terrific. I might try your chili recipe. Fried hot dogs?
My beanies and weenies recipe is similar to my beanburger recipe. Replace ground beef with sliced hot dogs. Simmer.

Fried hot dog--cut the hot dog down the middle long ways. Heat up skillet on med heat (of course loaded with butter) Lay on pan inside facing down til crispy..turn over and serve. I dip them in my chili concoction so kinda like a beanie weenie recipe.

sauteed mushrooms...
Thought you might like this one.
16 oz. pkg of fresh mushrooms sliced (portabella work well--I use the common white ones most of the time)
2 sticks of butter
3/4 cup worstershire sauce
Tony's Cajun spice (to taste)--I use alot
Garlic Powder (again to taste)--again I use alot
1 tbl spoon of A1
Shot of Jack Daniels (Gentleman Jack works best)

Simmer till mushrooms are golden and tender

I serve over my steak (which Wise fixes on the grill)
Enjoy

Rhiannon - I hate to say it but I hate mushrooms. Your fried hotdog recipe reminds me of one of my dad's favorites - Campfire Spam Sandwhiches.

Slice and fry Spam in yellow mustard over campfire. Serve onto hamburger bun. pour out mustard sauce into fire. Wipe pan with ubiquitos paper towel. Crack and fry one egg over hard in pan. Slide onto top of Spam. Serve with B&M Baked beans cooked in the can in the fire.

Good God, woman!

Now peanut butter on hot apple pie - that's my grandaddy's favorite. Or cheddar cheese on hot apple pie.
